Lifted by Zoharous | Floral African Print Panelled Blouse
This past May 2015, Zoharous unveiled its Spring-Summer Collection but I realised that I didn't discuss my inspiration and share styling tips as I usually would do.
To see the pieces from the collection, read my last post on the Full Collection.
The first piece in the collection, Lifted by Zoharous, is the Floral African Print Panelled Blouse.
Apart from the images below, my biggest inspiration towards this collection was the effect that light has on humanity. I imagined wearing clothes that made me feel as if I wasn't wearing clothes. I felt that immediate weightlessness the moment I touched these fabrics. Personally, I can say that every element of this design contributes to the weightless effect. Hence the name of the collection, 'Lifted.'

News | The True Cost
Hello Beautiful People.
I know I'm late on this one but has anyone seen this video yet?
I watched this thriller sometime in May of this year and it felt like one of those videos that you watch and then start regretting things you're not guilty of... if you know what I mean.

I honestly felt terrible after even seeing this thriller. Still searching for the actual movie though.
Has anyone see it yet?
What are your thought?

It's another day to be grateful to the people who have made Zoharous the brand that it is.
In the Appreciation Series, I mention and thank one of my clients and Jameela of the Alora Boutique in Canada made the pick.
She ordered this gorgeous jumpsuit about a year ago and she remains a true friend to the Zoharous Family.
We believe she looks amazing in it :-)

Appreciation Series | Jameela of Alora Boutique
This year, I decided to continue my appreciation series to mention and show my love to all the beautiful women who have been part of the growth of my business. These women have sent me a lot of encouragement as they shared their photos with me.
One of such women is the lovely Jameela of Alora Boutique. Now, someone I can call a friend Jameela has sent me these gorgeous photos of herself in my designs and I just love the way she styles the pieces.

Earliest meeting was at a fair I attended here in Accra, Ghana. She bought these trousers from me but unfortunately, they didn't fit so she came by my home studio and I worked on them for her. The next thing I knew she had sent me this lovely photo of herself on a Night Out... I was truly touched.
Ever since she has continued to purchase from me and I am always grateful to her for her warm encouragement and of course, her friendship.
Thanks and hope you come back for the next appreciation post.
Hugs!

2015 Colour of the Year | Marsala 18-1438
This always seems to bother me, but I don't know why I get so eager to find out the Colour of the Year, every year.
Maybe it's because of my design background, but I tend to simply want to know... Don't you??
Anyway, getting right back into it, I'd like to introduce the Pantone Colour of the Year 2015 - Marsala 18-1438.
To some of you, this might mean nothing and to the rest of us 'Fashion Enthusiasts', ...yeah right... it does in a way
According to Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Colour Institute®,
"Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth."
Marsala is such a versatile colour that suits every skin tone. It is at the same time a lovely highlight against the cheek and a flattering colour burst for nails, and hair.

| Dress custom made by Zoharous Scarf by Leslie Van |
Hi Everyone!
Two years ago, I interviewed an amazing designer called Leslie Van who is based in Hong Kong and Paris. After the was published, Leslie sent me a gorgeous chiffon scarf that I have loved ever since. When I received it, I told her that I was going to do an outfit post and let her know about it and I have been planning it ever since.
Well, I finally did the shoot and featured a few of my designs and some other random pieces of clothing that I own.
This was a fun shoot... I enjoyed styling the looks and I hope the photos are as tasteful as expected.

How To | Ironing a Dress Shirt
Hi Everyone!
I think I'm obsessed with POPSUGAR Fashion. It is a Youtube Channel that always has these amazing and helpful tips for Fashion, Beauty and Style.
Another obsession of mine is Ironing. I really like to iron shirts, dresses, skirts and I must say... anything 'ironable.'
Watching this video today was fun. I did not learn anything new but I know a few people who hate ironing and always end up with burnt up clothes.
So, as usual, I hope this video is good enough.
PS. Ryan Gosling is in the video girls!

Opinion | Angelina's Got Competition as Kendall Jenner Wears Double-Slit Dress to the MuchMusic Video Awards
June is definitely the month to bare it all... A couple of days ago, Rihanna was nude in a dress. Today it's Kendall Jenner in the double slit Fausto Puglisi dress.
Flashback: In 2012, Angelina Jolie's bare leg launched a thousand memes (and its own Twitter account). A little more than a year later, Gwyneth Paltrow introduced side-butt, and now, just a little more than a year after that, Rihanna had her partially nude photos taken Instagram for revealing some nipple.
However, it looks like partial nudity is getting trendy. I love Kendall's dress too by the way.
I don't know how but she managed to make it chic, she kept things quite covered up on top, and even her hair and makeup was simple and pretty. Jenner showed off some nip for her spin on the Marc Jacobs runway, sure, but red carpets are much different than the catwalk, and she did it up right.
When she and sister Kylie took the stage to host the actual ceremony, they naturally opted for an outfit change (or two):
But while we're all for a lovely white peplum paired with a bold red lip (can you say chic?), we might have to declare the first 'fit the winner—at the very least, for raising the body-baring bar ever higher. Who'd like to take on the challenge? (And more importantly, where could they possibly put the next It Slit?)
